A wild Kaipara apple found on Mountain Rd, . Chance seedling, tough tree having lived through grazing cows and strong winds. Med sized green apple with a red blush when ripe. Sweet, tart & crunchy. Old fashioned flavour. Ripe mid to late Feb.
